If losing one’s salvation is possible, then it is impossible for him to retake it. There are many cases in which the apostles would use the word “if” in a hypothetical case but he was speaking of an event which actually did not happen. Hypothetical case is well explained in the next page shown below. The point is that a person who has been saved will never lose his salvation. See John 10: 28-29. Read more below. – E. J.
